About Idera Foundation.
Idera Women Foundation was founded with the aim of empowering Women and children in vulnerable communities through Education, Entrepreneurship and Local leadership to help them rise above poverty.
Women and children constitute a large percentage of the poor in many African societies. Thus, the empowerment of women to become financially independent and educating the next generation is crucial for eradicating poverty at large. Accessibility to education, jobs and attaining financial stability will break the cycle of poverty and at the same time contribute immensely to the growth of the country’s economy.

Our Vision / Mission
Our mission is to empower women to become profitable small business owners, social entrepreneurs, etc. and also empowering the family unit by positively influencing the lives of the children from low-income families and single-parent homes through education.
Given the next generation the best start to life helps them reach their developmental potential and break the generational cycle of poverty. We aim to do that by creating healthy spaces in different communities for kids between the age of 1-13 years where they have free access to different developmental- and educational programs.
One of our long-term projects is to provide working mother or aspiring ones with childcare services for children between the ages of 1-3 and after school programs for kids between the ages of 4-13. We believe empowering woman to reach their full potential make a meaningful and lasting impact in their families and communities.
